Make sure that the first time you think about stress at work is not when you have a staff member come to you and tell you they want 2 weeks off on "stress-leave".

The financial times we work in at the moment mean that the nature of all of our jobs may have added stress, people not paying their bills, staff not being replaced and those that remain being expected to pick up the additional workload for no more pay or reward.  Redundancy is a concern for many staff also, not knowing whether they will be the next to become a statistic when times get tough.
