Safe Work Practices

Safe Work Practices [sometimes called safe operating procedures] are a set way of doing everyday tasks.

They are designed to make sure that you are kept safe by doing the task or job in a safe way.   They are designed so that anything that might happen to hurt someone has controls in place to make sure it doesn’t.

Often when people get hurt or killed it is because they have not followed the Safe Work Practice and have taken a shortcut to save a bit of time.

“She’ll be right” could be a fatal mistake when it comes to safety.  You need to make sure all your staff understand and follow the safe work practices you have.  If you don’t have them, get them sorted.
