Resignation

The Company or the employee may resign their employment by giving the notice required by their Employment Agreement. This is normally the simplest form of ending the employment relationship.

There are a few key things to remember about resignations, most important is that they must be of the employees own free will without pressure from their manager, or the company.

When someone resigns in the "heat of the moment" for example, you've just had a argument about something, you must be very careful to make sure that is actually what they want to do, tell them to go home and think about it overnight and make a decision in the morning.
