Plain English
Plain English is about making sure that everyone can understand the words we use.We don’t think we need to use big fancy words to get the point across.
Our goal is 99% Plain English;
sometimes the right word to use is a bit complex, but not very often.
Examples of using plain English include:
Bull Plain English
Inappropriate Wrong or unsuitableEndeavour Try
Excessive Too many, too much
Permissible Allowed
On numerous occasions Often
Undersigned I or we
Transfer Change, move
Notwithstanding Even if, despite, still, yet
No Bull means using only plain English in the way you communicate with your staff, try it, you’ll see how much more straight forward life becomes.
