Holidays
Everyone loves holidays! But It's important the you manage your peoples holidays properly.
The time when holidays are taken and how long they are needs to be agreed by an employees manager at least two weeks in advance, and should be fair to the employee. This means you cant unreasonably stop someone from using owed holiday leave, or force them to take it when its not suitable.
There are some things to remember when it comes to your employees and their holidays:
- Generally you should avoid allowing holiday leave in advance
- All leave requests should be writing and signed
