Hazards
Managing hazards is a big focus of the Health and safety law.
More importantly managing what the law calls “significant hazards” is what all employers must do.
So what does this actually mean?
It means that if you have, or do something as part of your work that would probably kill or really badly injure someone, you should be doing all that you can to make sure it doesn’t.
So don’t put managing hazards at your place on the “too hard” list, the risk is too high, someone might get badly hurt or worse still, killed. Could anything you do hurt or badly injure someone?
You MUST have a plan to make sure it doesn’t.
