Before the Camera Rolls
When it comes time to film we have a view helpful tips..
1. Don’t be nervous, we are really nice people, and are just a small team so nothing to be afraid of!
2. Wear something tidy. We will let you know if you need to wear anything specific that might relate to what we are filming, otherwise a bright coloured top/shirt or black always looks good on camera.
3. Please be on time. We normally have a very busy filming schedule so we appreciate it when we don’t get held up, as it holds others up.
4. Read over your lines before hand. You are not expected to remember large amounts of information. We understand you are not a professional actor; however knowing what you are talking about before we begin can save a lot of time and effort, and looks heaps better and more natural on film.
5. We can take as many shots as we need to so don’t worry if you make a mistake, nobody gets it right the first time!
6. After you have said your lines continue to look straight at the camera for a few seconds until the director has said, “cut”. This gives us time to cut between shots when we are editing your footage.
7. Before you leave we will need you to sign a permission form so that we can use you in the DVD.
8. And last but not least, HAVE FUN! This is your time to shine and be a star. The more relaxed and confident you feel, the better you will look on camera.
